Pérgamo

Pérgamo era una ciudad antigua ubicada en la región de Anatolia, aproximadamente a 25 kilómetros del mar Egeo en la actual Bergama, provincia de Izmir de Turquía. La ciudad tenía un gran valor estratégico, ya que dominaba el valle del río Caicus (nombre moderno Bakırçay) que proporcionaba acceso desde Pérgamo a la costa del Egeo.
