Istanbul Arrival Transfer

Istanbul Arrival Transfer Inbound transfer at Istanbul is included in your tour from one of these points :

• New Istanbul Airport (IST)
• Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW)

If you arrive on ‘Day 1’ or if your booking has any pre tour accommodation with Eskapas, complimentary arrival transfer to your hotel will be provided. If you don’t arrive on ‘Day 1’ or if your booking hasn’t any pre tour accommodation with Eskapas, you are welcome to arrange an arrival transfer at anadditional cost through us. Please ensure that we have been provided with your ‘arrival’ details at least 1 week before your arrival date. We have to know : Which Istanbul arrival point, from the above list, you are arriving into;

• Istanbul Airport (IST) is the main airport, on the European side of Istanbul and relatively closer to your hotel and about 40 minutes drive from the city.
• Sabiha Gokcen (SAW) is on the Asian shore and about 1.5 hours drive from the city.

If you arrive by flight :- a. Your arrival flight number. If you are changing flights on the way to Turkey then we need the ‘final’ flight number. b. Your arrival flight date. Beware that this may not be the same as your departure date! c. Your arrival flight time. So we need the time the flight ‘arrives’ into Istanbul. If you have purchased a transfer, these are the arrival pick up details from the nearest airport or harbour :-

Istanbul Arrival pick up details : Istanbul Airport (IST) : Istanbul Airport has a new computerised system for new arrivals, the ‘Meeting Lounge System’. There will no longer be large numbers of transfer people from various companies standing with signs with people’s names on. We will enter all customer arrivals into the ‘Meeting Lounge System’. We will also enter our Transfer Officers details. After passing passport control and collecting your luggage, walk out of the customs / baggage collection area. Follow the signs to the ‘Meeting Lounge’.At the ‘Meeting Lounge’, go to the information desk and give them your name. They will the ‘Meeting Lounge System’, get your transfer officers details, contact him or her and he/she will come and pick you up and transfer you to your hotel.

Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW) You will be greeted at the airport by a representative of Eskapas and transferred to your hotel. After collecting your luggage, walk out of the customs / baggage collection area. Our transfer representative will be waiting outside the exit door, inside the terminal with your name on a sign. There are often large crowds here so please look carefully for your transfer representative who waits with a sign of your name.

In the unlikely event that you still haven’t met with our representative we recommend that you take a taxi to the ‘Arrival Hotel’, get a receipt from the driver (Turkish for receipt is pronounced ‘fish’.) and claim the amount from your guide at the hotel. Please note that there is no refund is available on missed transfers or portions of your trip owing to incorrect flight details being provided or delayed flight arrival. Any additional cost incurred in order to meet up with your group is at your own expense.
