An excellent way to see the highlights of Turkey for those short on time. You’ll see many cultural and historical sites as well as get all those Instagram shots (if that’s your thing). Enquire about upgrading to the cave hotel in Cappadocia – it’s an absolutely must-have experience. Breakfast and dinners are included however I would recommend getting out of the hotel in Capadoccia making your way into Urgup and the waterfront in Izmir where there are an abundance of small eateries (Sofra was amazing) to try authentic local cuisine. Our guide Nadir made this trip – there wasn’t a single question he couldn’t answer (and we tried!). He genuinely cares about his guests and goes out of his way to make the trip perfect – when our hot air balloon ride was cancelled on the first day, he woke up early to accompany us on the second day and would probably have blown the balloon up himself to get us the experience we were there for. Our driver Dursun was lovely and took so much pride in providing a safe and clean journey. The days are long because there is so much ground to cover, but I would highly recommend the trip to anyone looking for a fuss-free way to see the highlights of this beautiful country. Pack a few extra lira for taxis to get out and about during free time if you want to see a bit more of the overnight towns.
I am just ending this tour, and I had a great time. This was a fantastic introduction to Turkey and it’s rich history. We were a small group of 4, which made it even better. Our guide Nadir was just the best. His depth of knowledge was at time staggering. There was nothing that he could not speak at length about, and his willingness to share personal stories of his life, brought special meanings to many of the sites we visited. He clearly loves his country, and sharing it with the world. The unsung hero of the story was our driver Dursun. This man was a legend. His driving shills were second to none, and kept the bus incredibly clean. Early mornings I would get up to walk the streets, and he would be out getting the bus ready. He was the first one up and the last to bed every day without complaints. Impeccably dressed, and a true gentleman. Ismail was very attentive to my questions and last minute changes. Communication was quick and productive. I would encourage you to be proactive about your needs and what you would like to do, as there are some additional adventures, hotel upgrade that are well worth doing. I would recommend this adventure.
+ excellent quality price performance + Cautious driver with comfortable bus + Wifi during tour +Well balanced program + Excellent guide + Good hotels – poor hotel meals – long drives sometimes (well Turkey is big) Cappadocia Pamukkale day was long l recommend
Completed this tour from Dec 27, 2021 – January 2, 2022. It was fantastic. The itinerary went exactly as outlined in the plan, which is something to really appreciate when taking a tour. I was joined by a family for the first 3 days of the tour, and was solo for the last 4 days of the tour. Mustafa the driver was very safe and friendly. Nadir the tour guide was fantastic, he clearly knew his stuff. He was very attentive and kind. I would highly recommend this tour. Great use to time to get the bang for your buck in Western Turkey! 5/5
