 Hygiene and Safety Measures

Establishments, Archeological Sites and Museums

• Hospitality establishments operate with a maximum of 50% of their total workforce (until
further notice).
• Staff members in coastal governorates are quarantined after returning from their leave and
there is an interval of at least (60) days between leaves.
• Staff members will have their temperatures checked daily.
• Separate housing is provided for staff members of the hotel, taking into consideration physical
distancing, and providing isolation areas for suspected or confirmed COVID-19 cases among
staff members (mild cases only).
• Staff members with contagious or chronic diseases are not to be employed.
• Staff members are trained and educated on symptoms and preventive measures of COVID-19.
• The hotel management should be immediately notified in case any staff member or guest
shows symptoms of COVID-19.
• Staff members are provided with personal protection equipment (including sanitizers, masks,
etc…).
• Wearing face masks during working hours is mandatory.
REGULATIONS FOR THE RESUMPTION OF TOURSIM TO EGYPT

Hotels Regulations

1- Receiving Guests
• Guests will have their temperatures checked every time they enter the hotel.
• Luggage is disinfected before check-in.
• Floor signs are placed to maintain physical distancing.
• Electronic payment is encouraged.
2- Accommodation
• Room capacity is 2 adults + 2 children (less than 12 years old).
• Personal Protection Kits (containing personal protective equipment such as masks, gloves,
and hand sanitizers) are provided in rooms for each guest.
• Rooms are disinfected and properly ventilated for 12 hours between check-out and
check-in.
• Rooms and bathrooms are properly ventilated and disinfected daily.
• Furniture and fabrics are disinfected using steam machines.
• Linens and towels are washed at high temperatures.
3- Gym and Health Clubs
• Touch points and surfaces are cleaned and disinfected regularly, and equipment are adequately
spaced.
• Showering is not allowed in the gym or health club.
• Use of Jacuzzi, sauna, steam, and massage services is suspended until further notice. 

4- Swimming Pools and Beaches in Hotels
• Swimming pools and beaches are open for guests.
• Regular disinfection of swimming pools is carried out.
• Cleansing the area around the beach and pool (including tables, deck chairs, sunbeds, etc…)
after every use, as well as before and after operating hours is carried out.
• Sunbeds are placed 2 meters apart.
• Beach and pool towels are delivered to rooms.
• Recreational activities on beaches and at swimming pools are reduced.
5- Casinos
• Casinos inside hotels are allowed to operate at 50% of their total capacity, maintaining regular
disinfection of the area and all touch points, providing personal protection equipment to
guests and ensuring safe physical distancing.
6- Parties and Social Events
• Parties, social gatherings and events are not allowed in hotels.

Restaurants (inside and outside Hotels)

1- Dining Hall
• Queuing at the entrance is reduced by pre-booking (via electronic applications, telephone,
or other means).
• Temperature of every guest is checked before entrance.
• Electronic payment is encouraged.
• “Open Buffet” is not allowed. “Served Buffet” is allowed keeping safe physical distancing.
• Tables are placed 2 meters apart, with 1 meter between people on the same table with a
maximum of 6 per table.
• Using disposable cutlery (as much as possible).
• Hand sanitizers are placed on tables.
• Fabric table cloth is changed and thoroughly washed after each use.
• Parties and social events are not allowed in restaurants.
• Kids areas are closed.
• Take-away service is allowed maintaining physical distancing. Customers’ presence is limited
only to order, pay, and then wait outside the restaurant for their order.

Desert Safari Trips

• Operating at 50% of the total capacity, maintaining regular disinfection of the vehicles used
and all touch points, providing personal protection equipment to customers and staff, and
ensuring safe physical distancing.
• Wearing face masks is required for customers and staff.
• Allowing only canned drinks and meals that are pre-prepared in establishments that acquired
the “Hygiene Safety Certificate”.

Transportation for Tourists

Operating with a maximum of 50% capacity, leaving a vacant seat next to each passenger on
a bus and in golf cars, with a maximum of 2 passengers in a limousine.
• Passengers are not allowed to sit in the front seats of limousines and golf cars.
• Disinfectants and hand sanitizers are provided, thorough cleaning, disinfection and proper
ventilation is carried out before and after each trip.
• Passengers and drivers are obliged to wear face masks at all times during the journey.

Tourist Groups and Excursions

1. Tourist groups shall not exceed 25 people (until further notice). Tour guides are requiried to
wear face masks and use audio equipment inside museums. Ear pieces are sterilized after
each use.
2. Tourism companies should provide face masks to tourists.
3. Physical distancing is maintained during visits to museums and archeological sites.
4. The maximum number of visitors allowed inside museums and indoor archeological sites is:
• 200 visitors per hour in the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, and 100 visitors per hour in all
other museums.
• 10 – 15 visitors inside any pyramid or tomb (depending on its dimensions).
5. Schools, universities and governmental organizations’ trips must be pre-notified to archeological
sites and museums, at least 48 hours prior to the planned visit, with no more than 15 persons
per trip, with a maximum of 5 trips per day.

Day 1Arrival to Cairo

Welcome to Egypt! Upon arrival at Cairo airport, our representative will be there to meet and assist you through the airport formalities. You will be escorted to your hotel for check in. The rest of the day is free to relax.

Day 2Cairo


Breakfast. Half day visits to the Three Pyramids of Giza; Cheops, Chefren & Micerinos, the Eternal Sphinx & the Valley Temple of Chefren “doesn’t include entrance to the interior of the Pyramids”.

Overnight: Cairo Meals: Breakfast

Day 3Cairo - Aswan

Transfer to Cairo International Airport & domestic flight to Aswan. Arrival to Aswan. Transfer to the motor ship. Going out to visit the Temple of Philae & the High Dam of Aswan. In the afternoon, a ride on a Faluca along the River Nile will be undertaken (typical Egyptian sailboats) from where we can admire & enjoy a panoramic visit to the Mausoleum of Agha Khan, to the Elephantine Island & to the Botanical Garden. Overnight on board. The optional excursion to the Temples of Abu Simbel can be made on this day Or on the next day according to the domestic flight schedule CAI – ASW in this day & according to the navigation schedule from Aswan to Kom Ombo in the following day.

Day 4Aswan - Kom Ombo - Edfu

In the morning, possibility to make optional excursion (See details at the bottom of the page) to the famous Temples of Abu Simbel. Navigation towards Kom Ombo & visit to the Temple of Kom Ombo the only one dedicated to two divinities: The god Sobek with a crocodile head & the god Haroeris with a falcon head. Navigation towards Edfu. Overnight on board. The optional excursion to the Temples of Abu Simbel can be made on this day Or on the previous day according to the domestic flight schedule CAI – ASW in the previous day & according to the navigation schedule from Aswan to Kom Ombo in this day.

Day 5Edfu - Esna - Luxor

Arrival to Edfu & visit to the Temple of Edfu dedicated to the god Horus. Navigation towards Esna. We will cross the Esna Lock & continue sailing to Luxor.

Day 6Luxor - Cairo

Breakfast & disembarkation. In the morning, visit to the Western Bank in Luxor; to the Necropolis of Thebes; to the Valley of the Kings, to the Funeral Temple of the Queen Hatshepsut known as El-Deir El-Bahari, & to the Colossi of Memnon. In the afternoon, visit to the Eastern Bank in Luxor; to the Temples of Luxor & Karnak. Transfer to Luxor International Airport  &  domestic flight back to Cairo. Arrival to Cairo. Transfer to the hotel & overnight.

Day 7Cairo

Breakfast. Free day at leisure.. Optional Visits

Cairo Light & Sound Show in the Pyramids of Giza  

The current Egyptians, proud of what their ancestors did, have decided to honor them with an impressive spectacle of light and sound, to show tourists the history of their country. The event begins with the lighting of the sphinx, while explaining the history of the pyramids and who built them. Through laser beams and light projections on the Mummification Temple, the walls of the Pyramids, the desert sand and the sphinx itself, a summary of the history of Egyptian culture is displayed. With the incorporation of background music, an atmosphere is achieved that helps to get carried away by the voice of the sphinx, full of drama and mystery. The duration of the show is 1 hour.

LuxorHot Air Balloon over Luxor

Early in the morning, you can enjoy a unique experience with the spectacular visit of Luxor from the air. We will see the entire city of Luxor with its Temples, desert, the Nile River and its two banks. Return to the ship and breakfast.

Abu SimbelLand Excursion to the Temples of Abu Simbel

At the scheduled time, departure by road from Aswan to Abu Simbel to see the Great Temples of Ramses II; Its main entrances are chaired by four huge statues of 20 meters high considered as the most impressive monuments left in Ancient Egypt. In the sixties, and with the formation of the artificial lake of Nasser, the Temples were threatened by the waters of Lake Nasser, and with the help of a campaign promoted by UNESCO, the Temples were moved piece by piece to another place located at a higher height so as not to be affected by the waters. Return to Aswan.

Abu SimbelAir Excursion to the Temples of Abu Simbel

Departure from Aswan Airport to Abu Simbel, where you will visit the two Great Temples of Ramses II and his wife Nefertari. These Temples are located 297 km south of Aswan and 70 km from the Sudan border. Like many others, the Abu Simbel Temples were transported from their original location. The Great Temple of Ramses II, like the Small Temple of his wife Nefertari, is entirely excavated in the rock. It enters more than 61 m inside the mountain. The façade, its best known part, is a huge 33 m high pylon, 37.5 wide, on which four gigantic seated 20 m high colossi emerge, carved into the rock, two on each side of the entry. Return to Abu Simbel airport and board your flight to Aswan. Arrival and assistance by our representative.
