Day 1Arrive in New York

Arrive in New York City and transfer independently to your hotel where you will meet with your Tour Director in the evening.

Day 2New York – Philadelphia – Washington D.C.

Travel to the historic city of Philadelphia, the “City of Brotherly Love” and the birthplace of America, where the Declaration of Independence was adopted on July 4, 1776. Explore Philadelphia, visit the Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell or one of its many museums. Continue your journey to Washington D.C. to arrive and have rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 3Washington D.C.

Enjoy a city tour with such highlights as the U.S. Capitol Building, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, the White House and Arlington National Cemetery, site of the JFK Memorial. Spend the remainder of the day exploring some of the many museums comprising the Smithsonian Institute or simply stroll the banks of the Potomac River.,

Day 4Washington D.C. – Gettysburg – Niagara Falls

This morning visit the historic Gettysburg National Military Park, site of the largest battle ever fought on American Soil and the place where President Lincoln gave his famous address in 1863. Travel through upstate New York to Buffalo and finally cross the international border to Canada, arrive at one of the world’s natural wonders, breathtaking Niagara Falls, where the thundering noise and mist of falls permeates the air. Spend the evening at the Romantic Niagara Falls.

Day 5Niagara Falls – The Great Lakes – Detroit

Explore and enjoy the beauty of Niagara Falls in the morning. Perhaps you can take a ride aboard Hornblower cruises along the base of the falls and enjoy a lunch overlooking the falls or take a stroll along Table Rock to view the thundering waters of the Horseshoe Falls. Afternoon drive back to US borders, traversing the great lakes region to arrive at Detroit, known as “Motor City, USA”. In 2015, Detroit was named as “City of Design” by UNESCO, the first city in US to receive this tag.

Day 6Detroit – Chicago

Start your day with a visit to the Rouge Factory followed by the visit to Henry Ford Museum. Step into the world of American Innovations, experience the strides of America’s greatest minds while fully immersing yourself in their stories. After discovering the innovations across diverse fields through the many exhibits of the museum, visit the nearby Ford plant and watch a modern production vehicle roll off the very busy factory floor. Travel further inland to South of Lake Michigan to reach Chicago.

Discover the charms of this Windy City, enjoy a short tour of the city highlights including taking the Lake Shore drive, visiting the Magnificent Mile – a heaven for shopaholics and home to some of the most famous department stores and luxury retailers, and Navy Pier. The stunning high-rise architecture including one of the world’s tallest buildings, the Willis Tower, provide a dramatic backdrop for this cultural and financial centre. Rest of the day at leisure to relax or explore more of Chicago on own.

Day 8 Chicago – Mississippi River Crossing – Sioux Falls

Drive through Midwest farm country, an ever-changing landscape of corn fields, wheat fields and dairy farms. Crossover the mighty Mississippi River and travel into the state of Iowa to arrive on the banks of the Missouri River, just as Lewis and Clark did 200 years ago.

Day 9Sioux Falls – Badlands National Park – Mt. Rushmore National Memorial – Deadwood / Rapid City

The westward journey will take you through the scenic grasslands of South Dakota and onwards to Badlands National Park, once home to the Buffaloes and antelopes, it amazes you with its strange shaped and colorful rock formations. Continue to the Black Hills, sacred to the plains Indians and home to Mount Rushmore, an enormous monument centered on a colossal sculpture of four great American Presidents, Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln and Roosevelt carved into the granite face of the hill.

The journey continues westwards, drive through the state of Wyoming, an interesting landscape where twelve mountain ranges intermix with Deserts and plateau of rolling grasslands to reach Cody. Arrive and check in at the hotel. You can utilize rest of your day to relax or explore the surroundings.

Head past the mountains in Wyoming to Yellowstone, established in 1872 by Ulysses S Grant as the nation’s first National Park of America. Enjoy sightseeing tour of this immense geothermal wonderland of geysers, waterfalls, wildlife and canyons. Major highlights of your tour include Yellowstone Lake, Old Faithful – the famed geyser with average height of each eruption to be around 145 feet, Mammoth Hot Springs, Yellowstone Canyon’s majestic falls and the beautiful Hayden Valley.

Traverse the rugged, snowcapped mountains which welcomes you to Grand Teton National Park. Visit the Snake River Outlook and enjoy the stunning landscape made famous by Ansel Adam’s iconic shot. This prairie land is home to wild buffalo (Tatonka!), moose and elk. Arrive at Utah, known for Mormon Community and enjoy a short tour of Salt Lake City, its capital. The followers of Brigham Young built one of the best planned cities in the world. See the State Capitol building and visit the famed Temple Square and The Tabernacle before arriving at the hotel for evening. Perhaps you can try dining at Roof Restaurant offering panoramic views of Temple Square.

Depart Bryce Canyon this morning and travel to stunning Lake Powell, where crystal blue water laps against towering red rock canyon walls. Lake Powell is the second -largest man-made lake in America, and one in a series of lakes formed by the damming of the Colorado River. Visit colossal Grand Canyon National Park, one of the seven great natural wonders of the world. Stop at the rim to fully experience this mile deep colorful canyon’s plunging gorges and rising spires, extinct volcanoes and below the rim, the winding Colorado River. Arrive at Flagstaff, a famed stop on Historic Route 66.

Continue drive to Las Vegas, the dazzling “Entertainment Capital of the World”. The remainder of the day is at leisure for you to explore the famous Las Vegas Strip.
