Visit Morocco’s Imperial cities in this packed one-week tour. The very name Morocco conjures up an enduring fascination – geographically close to Europe but culturally, a world apart. Despite the many years of French and Spanish colonial rule, a sense of the past is always present. In Morocco, you are quite literally walking on history. As a backdrop, the country’s vast geography is also remarkable: from the Mediterranean coastline through mountain ranges to the empty wilderness of the Sahara Desert. Roman ruins, Berber kasbahs, superb Islamic architecture, and the foothills of the Atlas Mountains are all bathed in a unique shimmering light. You can choose to lose yourself in the narrow, winding streets of the old medinas or join the locals amidst the clatter of a busy souk.  Fez, Meknes, Marrakesh, and Rabat are Morocco’s imperial cities, and UNESCO lists them all as World Heritage sites. Dating back almost a thousand years, Marrakesh is where Europe, Africa, and the Middle East mingle and merge. Perched on the edge of the Sahara Desert and framed by the Atlas Mountains, this ancient trading hub quite simply bursts with intoxicating energy. Marrakesh is also the heartland of the Berbers, who have lived and farmed on this land since Neolithic times.

My trip was amazing! I loved it and had a most wonderful time. Our group was so friendly and fun to be with. We were all friendly and enjoyed each other’s company. We were really a family of sorts….. a cast of characters. 🙂 Our tour guide was the best I have ever had. Safi lead our group with his heart and it was evident in everything he did. He truly wanted us to have all that we wanted, and he did what he could to make it happen. He was there for us, and I felt very safe. He ran the tour very smoothly. What a lovely human being! I loved the variety of the places we stayed and the variety of the activities we did. The food was fabulous…… everything was. A great experience!

We had an awesome trip. It was very organized and our tour leader Mohammed was such an excellent guide. We’re very grateful to have Mohammed as our tour leader – one with an amazing sense of humanity. He was not just very knowledgeable about Moroccan history and culture, he was such a pleasant, kind, honest, caring, compassionate and protective tour leader who is very concerned about the needs of each and everyone of us. Needless to say, he made our trip a safe and truly enjoyable one with his own personal anecdotes and funny jokes. We bonded very well with other tour mates so much so that we plan to go back again to Morocco. Hats off to Mohammed and to Eskapas Tours.

My husband, Leonard, and I loved every moment of the Morocco trip!!! Rasheed was a fantastic tour leader. He took excellent care of all of us (his “family”, as he called us during the tour). He was so knowledgeable about history, customs, culture, etc. , and patiently answered all questions as he explained everything to us. We loved everything we saw and did: Roman ruins, palaces, tombs, calls to prayer, stray cats, camels, snake charmers, belly dancers, Atlas Mountains, Marrakesh, Casablanca, This trip was like no other that we have taken, and we would not hesitate to go on another Eskapas Travel tour!!! Thank you all for doing such a great job!!!
