Mamma Mia! Best of Italy : Papal Basilica of Saint Peter in the Vatican
Vatican City Tour
Explore two of the most astonishing places in the world, accompanied by an expert guide who will reveal the history and lesser-known stories of these magical landmarks:
Vatican Museums: The Vatican Museums feature one of the world’s largest art collections, including Renaissance masterpieces and stunning classical sculptures. You’ll follow your guide through The Gallery of Maps, Raphael Rooms, Tapestry Gallery and other impressive rooms.
Sistine Chapel: The Sistine Chapel is entirely decorated with breath-taking Renaissance frescos, including The Last Judgement by Michelangelo. Nowadays, the Chapel holds the Papal conclave. But Vatican City isn’t only grandiosity, it also has a long, dark past of betrayal and even lust. Our guides will open our eyes.
St. Peter’s Basilica
To guarantee safety regarding Covid-19, access to St. Peter’s Basilica from the Sistine Chapel will be temporarily closed, therefore we will not visit the Basilica during the tour. Entrance, however, is free, and you can access it from St. Peter’s Square before or after the tour. The tour ends at the Vatican.

Day 3Rome - Naples - Pompeii - Sorrento

Mamma Mia Best of Italy : Naples

Our first stop on the tour will be Naples. Here we’ll visit the historic centre and the Mergellina port, where you’ll see the Ovo Castle built in the 12th Century.

Then we’ll leave Naples, and continue south past the fertile Vesuvius valley to reach Pompeii. On arrival, we’ll stop to have lunch at a restaurant.
In the afternoon we’ll spend two hours walking around the ruins in Pompeii. The city, buried by the ashes and lava of Vesuvius in 79, was discovered 1,700 years later, revealing the life of yesteryear, its secrets, its gestures and the panic of its last moments.
As we leave Pompeii we’ll drive along one of the most beautiful roads in Italy towards Sorrento, where we’ll have dinner and stay the night.
Overnight: Sorrento Meals: Breakfast – Lunch – Dinner

Day 4Sorrento - Capri - Rome

After breakfast, we’ll get on a boat to Capri arriving in its famous Marina Grande port. Our first visit will be the Blue Grotto, if weather permits, which sunk millions of years ago blocking the sun rays.

Mamma Mia Best of Italy : Capri
The tour will continue on to the village of Anacapri, located in the highest area of the island. We’ll have lunch here at a restaurant with stunning views of the Gulf of Naples.
Our last stop will be in Capri itself, where you’ll have time to wander around the most important part of the island including the famous Piazzeta.
When we return to Naples you’ll have the opportunity to marvel at the impressive Maschio Angioino (a 12th century fort), the Certoso di San Martino, a former monastery complex, and the Palace. The tour will then head back to Rome.

After having breakfast we’ll go to the centre of the Florence city to start our tour around the home of the Renaissance. You’ll be impressed by the city’s three main buildings, the cathedral, the baptistery and the bell tower. Together they form an architectural complex of white and pink marbles in which you can appreciate the transition from medieval Florentine art to the Renaissance style.
Following on, we’ll visit the Piazza della Sgnoria and the characteristic Palacio Vecchio. We’ll also stop at the Santa Croce church, which hosts the remains of famous historical figures such as Michelangelo and Galileo Galilei. Then, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch in a traditional Tuscan restaurant.
In the afternoon, there is an optional tour to Pisa or you can continue exploring Florence.
