Day 2Paris – Chambord – Blois – Tours

After breakfast , The trip will start with a tour of the most majestic of the Châteaux of the Loire Valley, Château de Chambord, which is about 20 kilometers from Cheverny. During tour of Chambord you will be impressed by its fascinating architecture. Be sure to admire the imposing, intricate double-helix staircase designed by Leonardo da Vinci and visit the former royal chambers and other rooms located on the castle’s many levels. Take in the panoramic view of Chambord’s park from the immense terrace, decorated with impressive chimneys. Visit picturesque Blois with its fascinating city center. Continuation to Tours for overnight.

Day 3Tours – Amboise - Chenonceaux – Rennes – St Malo

Amboise Chateau

Enjoy the breakfast and set off again to explore the Loire Valley. We will visit Amboise, architectural jewel of the Renaissance, dips its majestic silhouette into the Loire, a UNESCO World Heritage river. We will visit Amboise Chateau, a place of residence for French kings from the 15th to the 19th centuries, its destiny is inextricably linked to the history of France. Numerous literary figures and artists were invited here, like Leonardo da Vinci whose tomb is preserved at the château. This royal château is thus the expression of French-style luxury. From its balconies, its roofs and its terraced gardens, visitors can take in the Loire landscape and delight in what the kings enjoyed.

We will then visit the Chateau of Chenonceau also known as “Women Castle”. The history of the Château de Chenonceau is defined by a an almost uninterrupted succession of women who built, embellished, protected, restored and saved it. The first château was a medieval château dating from the 12th and 13th centuries, of which only the dungeon remains: the Tour des Marques. The château in its current form was built between 1513 and 1517, by Thomas Bohier and above all his wife, Catherine Briçonnet. Day 4St Malo - Mont St-Michel - Normandy - Honfleur

After breakfast, visit of Saint Malo. Here you reach the coast and see all the oyster farms that make its community famous. On a clear day from here you can also see the Mont Saint Michel – Unesco World Heritage site and architectural marvel. After visiting Gothic Benedictine Monastry continuation to Normandy, to see the Beaches of Normandy, which are the must-see World War II sites where the Allies landed in 1944.

 
 
The highlights are Arromanches and the AMERICAN CEMETERY at Omaha in Saint Laurent/Colleville sur Mer, which covers 70 hectares. Located above Omaha Beach, this site honors the American soldiers who lost their lives during the Battle of Normandy. After we will make a brief stop at Arromanches beach. You can still see the remnants of the pontoons for the artificial harbor that was built in England and brought to the site by the Allies so that they could land at high tide.

Day 5Honfleur – Rouen - Giverny - Paris

After breakfast walking discovery of Honfleur city, to enjoy this pleasant fishing port, its narrow cobbled streets, its artists and art galleries. Honfleur is an old town mentioned in historical documents as early as the 11th century. At that time, it was among one of the most important townships in the Duchy of Normandy. Because of its ideal location, it was able to develop and play an important role in the creation of the Norman State. The Hundred Year’s War in the 14th century brought a period of great military activity to Honfleur, during which it became a fortress. The town’s walls were later destroyed at the end of the 17th century. Nowadays, the only remains are the Lieutenancy, the former gateway, the enclosure district, and it’s narrow cobbled streets.

 
St Maclou Cathedral
 
Continue to Rouen to visit its great 15th century St Maclou Cathedral and, Clock Tower as well as the Market square where Jean d’arc has been burnt alive . After visiting Rouen continuation to Giverny, impressionist painter Claude Monet’s city where he spent 43 years of his life.
