Day 1Saturday – Arrival at Athens

On arrival you will be met by our assistant and transferred to your hotel by our minibus or taxi driver. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight: Athens Meals: –

Day 2Sunday – Athens Half Day Sightseeing Tour

After breakfast we will meet you at your hotel and start the morning Private Athens Sightseeing tour (half day, including the Acropolis Museum). Afternoon at leisure.

This tour gives you an opportunity to observe the striking contrasts that make Athens such a fascinating city. Our expert guides will take you to see the Panathenaic Stadium, home to the first Olympic Games of the modern era, where we will make a short stop. As we continue our trip, we will pass by the Prime Minister’s residence (ex Royal Palace), guarded by the Evzones in their colorful uniform, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, the Parliament and memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the Academy of Athens, the University, the National Library and the Constitution Square (Syntagma). One cannot take a tour of Athens without visiting the Acropolis, one of the world’s most prominent sites and a symbol for democracy in the Western world! It is there that you will explore architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Pericles. From the Propylaea, to the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and of course the Parthenon, a place where ‘there is harmony between material and spirit’, a the monument that ‘restores order in the mind’, as ancient Greeks used to say. Your last stop will be the modern Acropolis Museum, with nearly 4,000 exhibits of Hellenism housed inside.

Day 3Monday – Embark on cruise & visit Mykonos

Morning transfer from your hotel to the port by our minibus or taxi driver to embark on your cruise boat. Afternoon free on Mykonos island.

Day 4Tuesday – Visit Kusadasi & Patmos

Morning arrival at the Turkish port of Kusadasi, with a shore excursion to Ancient Ephesus (KUS-02). Then on to the island of Patmos, famous for its Monastery, the Grotto of St. John and the Cave of the Apocalypse.

At Ancient Ephesus you find Immortal relics of the Hellenistic, Roman and Early Christian era. At the archaeological site you will be given a guided tour among the Agora, the Odeon, the Library of Celsus, the marble-paved main Street of Kouretes, the Baths of Scholastica, Trajan’s Fountain, the Public Latrines, the Residences of the Patricians, the Prytaneum, the Temple of Hadrian

The Great Theatre, built in the 4th century B.C., could accommodate 24,000 spectators and it is famous even nowadays for its acoustics. The finds from the excavations, which have yet brought to light only 13% of ancient Ephesus, reside in the Archaeological Museum of Ephesus, in the city of Selcuk.

Your day couldn’t close in a better way than a beautiful walk through the Covered Bazaar in Kusadasi. Here, you will be able to ramble, bargain for jewellery, cosmetics or leather products at the little shops.

During the excursion you will have the opportunity to do some shopping such as carpets, jewelry, leather and other souvenirs.

Day 5Wednesday – Visit Rhodes

Early morning call at the magnificent island of Rhodes, with a Medieval Tour of the Acropolis of Lindos and the Citadel of the Knights (RHO-01).

Lindos is situated 55 km (40 miles) from the city of Rhodes and “bears” above it the Acropolis of Lindos, with the ancient Temple of Athena, built in 300 B.C.

Here and there you will come across the captains’ mansions, built between the 16th and 18th century. In the centre of the village lives and breathes the Church of the Virgin Mary (Panagia) of Lindos, with frescoes from the 15th century.

Ascend to the Acropolis of Lindos. Here lies the Temple of Athena, of Doric order, which was erected on the location of an older monument. The ancient city-state of Lindos was for many centuries the most important on the island. It reached its heyday in the 6th century B.C.

At the old city of Rhodes you will go through D’Amboise Gate to walk on the Street of the Knights. Along this street you will find the residences of the Knights, separated according to Order, which bear until today their corresponding crests.

Day 6Thursday – Visit Crete (Heraklion) & arrival at Santorini

Visit the island of Crete with an excursion to the Minoan Palace of Knossos, the first European civilization. Then on to the volcanic island of Santorini, believed to be the lost continent of Atlantis. Disembarkation at Santorini. Upon your arrival in Santorini you have a transfer to your selected hotel.

Day 7Friday – Semi-Private Sailing Cruise

Enjoy a semi-private cruise of the caldera with delicious, freshly prepared lunch or dinner on board. The luxurious catamaran will be cruising along the Red Beach, the White Beach & the volcanic islands.  You can choose if you want to taste this experience during the morning or in the afternoon so that you can combine sunset on board!

Day 8Saturday – Santorini

Free day at Santorini, the volcanic island speculated to have been the Lost Atlantis. Awe-inspiring whitewashed houses perched on rocky cliffs and black sand beaches. A magnificent sunset that turns the horizon orange. Fine local wine and the chance to explore the capital Fira and the picturesque Oia. Need we say more?

Day 9Sunday – Arrival at Mykonos

Transfer to the port of Santorini for your ferry to Mykonos. On arrival you have a transfer to your selected hotel for a 3-night stay.
