Portugal, France, and Spain Tour is a spiritual tour that makes for an incredible trifecta if you’re looking for the pinnacle of European travel experiences.

Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, with its quaint old city and cobblestone streets, is the perfect place to start your tour. Step over the border into Spain for an exploration of spiritual Spain. Stop at Burgos, San Ignacio de Loyola, and Santiago de Compostela.

Visit the French towns of Lourdes and Carcassonne after crossing the border into France.
Visiting Barcelona, home to some of Antoni Gaudi’s most renowned masterpieces will take you to Catalonia. When the twelve days are over, you’ll board your aircraft out of Barcelona.

Itinerary

Day 1Arrive in Lisbon, Portugal

Touch down in Portugal and make your way through customs. After you’ve settled into your hotel, you’ll meet with your Tour Director and travel companions. 

Day 2Lisbon - Santarem - Fatima

Begin your journey with a guided tour of Lisbon. You’ll get to see the monument dedicated to Henry the Navigator, the 16th-century Belem Tower, the Moorish citadel, and more! 

Visit the Cathedral La Se, where St. Anthony was baptized, then move on to Jeronimos Monastery. After that, you’ll move north to Santarem to see the Church of the Eucharistic Holy Miracle. After that, you’ll head for Fatima, where you will embark on an orientation walk the stop at the Tomb of the Visionaries and the Chapel of the Apparitions.

Tonight, you’ll join pilgrims from around the world for the Rosary and candlelight procession at Our Lady of Fatima Basilica.

Day 3Fatima

Portugal, France and Spain TourSpend this morning at the Sanctuary, or explore as you please. This afternoon, you’ll attend Mass at the Sanctuary of Our Lady with time after to spend at leisure. In the evening, you may enjoy joining the Rosary.

Day 4Fatima - Braga - Santiago de Compostela

Head north to the Braga, one of the oldest Christian cities in the world. You’ll tour the Com Jesus Do Monte Sanctuary and see the zigzag stairway dedicated to the five senses and the three theological virtues of faith, hope, and charity.

After, continue on to Spain. Once you arrive at Santiago de Compostela, you’ll get an orientation walk to familiarize yourself with the city center. After, attend the Pilgrims Mass in St. James Cathedral.

Portugal, France and Spain Tour: Camino de Santiago (Way of St. James)

This city is one of the top pilgrimage destinations since the Middle Ages. Feel free to explore the city today. You may enjoy a visit Camino de Santiago (Way of St. James), a key pilgrimage route in the 9th-century.

The day will begin with travel from Santiago de Compostela to the historic capital of Old Castle: Burgos! Once there, you will see the incredible Cathedral, known for its gothic architecture. This site is also where Spain’s national hero, El Cid, is buried.

Day 7Burgos - San Ignacio de Loyola - Lourdes, France

Sanctuary of Loyola.Enjoy a ride through the stunning Basque region toward France. On the way, you’ll stop at the Sanctuary of Loyola. This was built in honor of San Ignacio de Loyola, who founded the Jesuit religious order. 

After, you’ll enter France. Check into your hotel, then join the nightly Rosary and candlelight procession.

A walking tour of the Grotto awaits! Take in the place where the Virgin Mary appeared to St. Bernadette in 1858. You’ll see Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine and Bernadette’s Birthplace. This afternoon will be spent at leisure. Today you’ll attend Mass at the Sanctuary either in the morning or the evening.

Day 9 Lourdes, Carcassonne - Barcelona, Spain

Today you’ll make your way to the border between France and Spain. On the way, stop at the fortified citadel of Carcassonne, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take a look at the ramparts, castle walls, and drawbridges which date back to the Middle Ages. Tonight, you’ll stay in Barcelona.

Portugal, France and Spain Tour: La Sagrada Familia
Guided sightseeing today will include a drive around Montjuic to take in the port and city’s breathtaking panorama as well as a visit to the Olympic Stadium. After, you’ll continue on to the Plaza Catalunya and Paseo de Gracia to see Gaudi’s Houses Batlo and Mia as well as the Sagrada Familia.

Breakfast at the hotel . Free day at leisure.  This is a great opportunity to stop anywhere you’d like to see before the end of the trip. Walk the nearby markets, sample some local food, and hunt down those last-minute souvenirs!

Day 12Barcelona Departure

After breakfast, your trip comes to a close. Transfer back to the airport, check in at the airport, then board your flight home!

    (a) Cancellation received 61 days or more before departure of first product or service in relevant booking: Full refund (except for bank charges 2.9%, airlines tickets and cruise-ferry tickets tickets)

    (b) Cancellation received 60-46 days before departure of first product or service in relevant booking: A cancellation fee of 20% is charged

    (c) Cancellation received  45-31 days before departure of first product or service in relevant booking: A cancellation fee of 50% is charged

    (d) Cancellation received  30-15 days before departure of first product or service in relevant booking A cancellation fee of 75% is charged

    (e) Cancellation less than 14 days before departure of first product or service in relevant booking: A cancellation fee of 100% is charged
