Welcome to Turkey!!

You’ll be welcomed at Istanbul  Airport with a sign of your name after the luggage area and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2Istanbul

Breakfast. Stroll through Sogukcesme Street with typical wooden house which are now landmark buildings of ottoman architecture. Arrive to Topkapi Palace, the largest and oldest of the remaining palaces where Ottoman Sultans used to live; admire the gardens, kitchens, the treasury section as well as  terraces overlooking the Bosphorus and the Golden Horn.  Photo stop at the Fountain of Sultan Ahmet the 3rd  and explore Saint Sophia (from outside / exterior visit), the masterpiece of Byzantine architecture dating back to the VIth century. Visit the Blue Mosque covered by more than 20.000 Iznik tiles and continue with the Roman Hippodrome where the chariot races used to take place. Discover the handcrafts of Anatolia and shop in the labyrinth tunnels of the Grand Bazaar.

Day 3 Istanbul - Ankara

Breakfast. Walk along the Golden Horn, the estuary that divides the European part of Istanbul. Free time in the Egyptian Bazaar, a lively market full of aromas and bustle, whose streets give off all the flavor of the East. Then boat trip along the Bosphorus, which connects the Black Sea with the Marmara Sea. During the crossing you will be able to admire the beautiful European and Asian shores of Istanbul with its palaces, fortresses, beautiful wooden residences. Continue to Asia and travel to the capital of Turkey, Ankara.

Day 5Ankara - Cappadocia

Breakfast. We will visit the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations and make a stop at the Ataturk Mausoleum. In the afternoon, transfer to the Cappadocia region, also known as “land of beautiful horses”. Along the way, stop at Salt Lake, the largest lake in Central Anatolia. Upon arrival in the Cappadocia region, visit an underground city and attend the Whirling Dervishes ritual founded by Mevlana, a famous Islamic mystic
Overnight: Cappadocia Meals: Breakfast – Dinner

Day 6Cappadocia

Turkey Super Saver : Dervent Valley
 
Breakfast. Full-day tour of Cappadocia. In the morning we will visit the Goreme Valley and the Goreme Open Air Museum, considered as a National Park by UNESCO. Lunch. Continue to Uchisar, which stands on top of a promontory. Visit of the Pasabag and Avcilar Valleys. Visit to regional craft centers, carpets… Return to the hotel.
Overnight: Cappadocia Meals: Breakfast – Dinner

Day 7Cappadocia - Pamukkale

Breakfast and early departure. Along the way, visit a Seljuk caravanserai on the legendary Silk Road, which served as a stopping place for trade, pilgrimage or military caravans. We will continue to Pamukkale.
Trip Note: Good idea to bring your swimsuits as you will be staying in a thermal hotel.

Overnight: Pamukkale Meals: Breakfast – Dinner

Day 8 Pamukkale-Ephesus-Izmır or Kusadasi

Visit of Pamukkale (Cotton Castle) with petrified waterfalls and Hierapolis. Trip to Selcuk. Visit the House of  Virgin Mary, where according to belief, she spent her last days. Continue to the ancient city of Ephesus and visit the Library of Celsus, the Odeon, the Temple of Hadrian, the Temple of Domitian, the theater and other ruins. Visit to a fur factory. Dinner and overnight in Izmir or Kusadasi.
Overnight: Kusadasi or Izmir Meals: Breakfast – Lunch – Dinner

Day 9Izmir or Kusadasi – Bursa - Istanbul

Breakfast. We will continue to Bursa, former capital of the Ottomans, 250 km from Istanbul. We will visit two of the city’s most notable works, the Mosque and the Green Mausoleum, which owe their name to the green ceramics that cover both of them inside. Before leaving the city we will also visit the ‘Silk Bazaar‘ which is the main product of the city of Bursa. Continue to Istanbul.
Overnight: Istanbul Meals: Breakfast

Day 10Istanbul Departure

Breakfast. We will continue to Bursa, former capital of the Ottomans, 250 km from Istanbul. We will visit two of the city’s most notable works, the Mosque and the Green Mausoleum, which owe their name to the green ceramics that cover both of them inside.
