The official language of Oman is Arabic. English is also widely spoken in the cities and to a good extent in areas that have tourism infrastructure, such as the villages of Jebel Akhdar.

The best time to visit Oman is between October and April. During these months, the temperatures are warm (17°C to 35°C) yet not too hot. The country has a reliably warm climate, so as long as you avoid the scorching summer months between June and August, you can visit any time.

You can purchase alcohol in many areas, including the airport when you land in Oman. However, public intoxication is against the law, and walking from a nightclub to your hotel could lead to a night in jail or worse. It is also important to note that no alcohol is served or sold within the holy month of Ramadan, whether you are Muslim or not 1. Importing or bringing any drugs, including alcohol, is illegal and will result in imprisonment with additional charges of smuggling, possession, and trafficking.
The trip covered in great detail the rich Omani cultural sites. Accommodation and food – acceptable. Hotels good but wi-fi either not available in rural areas or poor in most locations. Overall good value for money!
