Day 2Istanbul

Breakfast. Visit of the Suleymaniye Mosque. Go up by cable car to Café Pierre Loti, located on a hill in Eyup. This place has a privileged view. We will visit the most religious place in Istanbul, where the Eyup Mosque and the cemetery are located. Visit of the Pera Neighborhood with Taksim Square and Istiklal Avenue.

Day 4 Istanbul - Ankara

 
 
Historical Peninsula of Istanbul
Visit of the historic city; We will walk to Hagia Sophia then we will continue visiting the ancient Hippodrome that dates back to the Byzantine era when it was the center of civil activity in the country. Blue Mosque which was built in 1609 during the Ahmet Sultanate who wanted to surpass Hagia Sophia with its mosque and built it with 6 minarets. Continue to Asia and travel to the capital of Turkey, Ankara.

Day 5Ankara - Cappadocia

Breakfast. We will visit the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations and make a stop at the Ataturk Mausoleum. In the afternoon, transfer to the Cappadocia region, also known as “land of beautiful horses”. Along the way, stop at Salt Lake, the largest lake in Central Anatolia. Upon arrival in the Cappadocia region, visit an underground city and attend the Whirling Dervishes ritual founded by Mevlana, a famous Islamic mystic

Day 6Cappadocia

Turkey Super Saver : Dervent Valley
 
Breakfast. Full-day tour of Cappadocia. In the morning we will visit the Goreme Valley and the Goreme Open Air Museum, considered as a National Park by UNESCO. Lunch. Continue to Uchisar, which stands on top of a promontory. Visit of the Pasabag and Avcilar Valleys. Visit to regional craft centers, carpets… Return to the hotel.

Day 7Cappadocia - Pamukkale

Breakfast and early departure. Along the way, visit a Seljuk caravanserai on the legendary Silk Road, which served as a stopping place for trade, pilgrimage or military caravans. We will continue to Pamukkale.
Trip Note: Good idea to bring your swimsuits as you will be staying in a thermal hotel.

Day 8 Pamukkale-Ephesus-Izmır or Kusadasi

Visit of Pamukkale (Cotton Castle) with petrified waterfalls and Hierapolis. Trip to Selcuk. Visit the House of  Virgin Mary, where according to belief, she spent her last days. Continue to the ancient city of Ephesus and visit the Library of Celsus, the Odeon, the Temple of Hadrian, the Temple of Domitian, the theater and other ruins. Visit to a fur factory. Dinner and overnight in Izmir or Kusadasi.

Day 9Izmir or Kusadasi – Bursa - Istanbul

Breakfast. We will continue to Bursa, former capital of the Ottomans, 250 km from Istanbul. We will visit two of the city’s most notable works, the Mosque and the Green Mausoleum, which owe their name to the green ceramics that cover both of them inside. Before leaving the city we will also visit the ‘Silk Bazaar‘ which is the main product of the city of Bursa. Continue to Istanbul.

Day 10Istanbul Departure

Breakfast. We will continue to Bursa, former capital of the Ottomans, 250 km from Istanbul. We will visit two of the city’s most notable works, the Mosque and the Green Mausoleum, which owe their name to the green ceramics that cover both of them inside. Before leaving the city we will also visit the ‘Silk Bazaar‘ which is the main product of the city of Bursa. Continue to Istanbul.

This a first for us to explore this side of the world, Istanbul- Cappadocia and Ephesus has been in our bucket list even before covid. The tour is very well organized. Hotel are almost five star in most of the cities. Ankara hotel is located a little bit out of the city but it has a pool. Meals are usually open buffet. I’ll give 3.5/5. The guide and the driver were excellent. Visits and free time are well balanced. Communication with Eskapas was easy. All queries are immediately answered in couple of hours. Excellent for its price.
