England can be visited any time of year as its climate (generally) doesn’t experience extreme temperatures during summer or winter. What is the most expensive month to visit the UK?

The schools break for the summer in mid-July, so this is one of the busiest and most expensive times of year to travel to England. Several music festivals are held over this period, and the Notting Hill Carnival is celebrated toward the end of August, to coincide with the summer’s final public holiday

Fantastic Wales

I recently got back from an amazing Eskapas Travel tour of Wales. Adam, our tour leader, gushed over every detail while he led the group. The locations and cities he knew well and out were invaluable. Delicious regional cuisine, wine, and beer. The majority of these individuals were regulars at the venue.

We loved this Eskapas excursion. Silvio, our tour guide, and Steve, our bus driver, worked nicely together. The vistas were amazing, but Silvio’s remarks and anecdotes made them much better! The extra excursions we did were all great save one. These alternative trips enhanced our vacation!

The one thing we didn’t like was not spending enough time in some of the major cities, but we had to move on. I wouldn’t suggest the London Novotel West. Our room had no air, a malfunctioning mini-fridge, and a nasty vibe. To be honest, we looked forward to leaving that motel each morning. Apart from the hotel, our other stays were great.

Important tips to know before traveling join England UK Tours

1

Bring a jacket, even in the summer.

Preparing for all sorts of weather is an important aspect of the English experience. England’s seaside location in the wild North Atlantic means that even in the summer, bitter gusts and sudden rain showers may ruin a pleasant afternoon.

That doesn’t mean you have to carry an umbrella with you everywhere, but you should always pack a jacket and check the weather forecast on your favorite app before leaving. London is normally a few degrees warmer than the rest of the country.

2

Train costs are expensive.

Unlike several other western European nations, England’s rail system was privatized many years ago, and this, combined with other reasons, has resulted in some of Europe’s highest train fares.

Try to book ahead of time (about 12 weeks before trip for the best pricing) and keep an eye out for low advance flights. While not as swift as trains (and certainly not as romantic), coaches like National Express and Megabus provide significantly lower pricing when traveling across the nation and are highly recommended for individuals on a tight budget.

3

UK is not the only place in the world.

London is big and bold, and it’s full of famous English places and things to do. It’s not everything, though. If you have the time to go outside the city, you’ll find many interesting places to visit, people, and cultures, as well as fun things to do.

UK MountainsThis old country has a lot to see, from the wild coasts of Cornwall to the high hills of the Lake District.

4

Different plug sockets needed

While England is in Europe, it doesn’t always follow its own rules. For example, seven years after the vote, people still can’t agree on what To Leave the EU means. If you’re backpacking through Europe, keep in mind that the UK and Ireland use type G plug jacks, which have three rectangular pins arranged in a triangle shape. Make sure you bring the right power charger with you to England because it is different from the rest of Europe.

5

Many museums are free

Numerous museums that are considered to be among the best in the world can be found in England, and some of these museums do not need any kind of admission fee. If you are in London on a wet day, you may visit the Natural History Museum to learn about dinosaurs or the National Gallery to view paintings by Turner. After that, you can use the money you have saved to go to the bar later on.

6

In each area, you can expect to hear a different accent.

To be ready for this, train your ears to pick up on accents that change after just a few miles in England. There are a lot of different regional accents, and even though they are still English, they can be hard for people who live in England to understand sometimes.
