Some of the most popular package tours start from different cities such as Marrakech, Fez, Casablanca and Tangiers in order to allow you to choose the best flight. The following frequently asked questions will help you to guide you before choosing your best vacation package in Morocco.
The best time to visit Morocco depends on your interests and holiday needs. According to Eskapas local guides, the mild months from October to April see an influx of travelers from the northern hemisphere, flocking to North Africa to escape long winters in Europe or North America. For the rest of the year, Morocco is busy with domestic travelers, especially along the coast in July and August, and international travelers taking advantage of package holiday deals and outdoor activities such as surfing, kiteboarding, golf, music, and hiking.
If you’re looking for the best weather and fewer crowds, September is a great time to visit. The weather is still warm, with long sunny days, balmy waters, and quiet beaches. It’s also an excellent time to visit cultural sights in coastal cities such as Essaouira, Rabat, Casablanca, Tetouan, and Tangier. Inland, Marrakesh and surrounding regions can still be quite hot in September.
Spring and fall are also great times to visit Morocco. During May and October, you can travel comfortably to Morocco’s portion of the Sahara Desert, avoiding the intense heat of summer and the cold nights of winter. Springtime is beautiful, with a green blanket of wild rockets on the sand and the birthing of baby camels. Spring and fall are prime times to explore the High Altas mountains.
The number of days you should spend in Morocco depends on your interests and the places you want to visit. Morocco has a lot to offer, from the bustling cities to the serene countryside.
If you’re planning to visit the major cities like Marrakesh, Fez, and Casablanca, you should plan to spend at least 7-8 days in Morocco. This will give you enough time to explore the cities, visit the famous landmarks, and experience the local culture.
If you’re interested in exploring the countryside, you should plan to spend at least 10-12 days in Morocco. This will give you enough time to visit the Atlas Mountains, the Sahara Desert, and the coastal towns.
Keep in mind that traveling in Morocco can be time-consuming, especially if you’re traveling by bus or train. It’s also important to consider the time of year you’re traveling, as some areas may be more difficult to access during certain seasons.

Women should also consider covering their shoulders and avoiding low-cut tops. Moroccan women will usually have their sleeves cover their elbows, but as a tourist, that is not necessary. Stay away from strappy tank tops. If you are wearing pants, you will want a longer shirt.
Travellers from many countries do not need a visa to visit Morocco for a period of up to 90 days. Currently, citizens of Australia, New Zealand, the USA, the UK, the EU and Canada, among many others, do not need a visa to travel to Morocco, provided they have a passport of usually six months’ validity and an onward or return ticket (with supporting documents). However, some of these countries, while not needing a visa, need to obtain an Electronic Authorisation (AEVM). These countries include Congo, Guinea and Mali.
If you do need a visa, you can submit an application either electronically or via your nearest Moroccan embassies or consulates. However, regardless of whether you need a visa or not, ensure that your passport is stamped when you arrive in Morocco, as you may have difficulty leaving the country if your passport does not have an entry stamp.

My trip was amazing! I loved it and had a most wonderful time. Our group was so friendly and fun to be with. We were all friendly and enjoyed each other’s company. We were really a family of sorts….. a cast of characters. ???? Our tour guide was the best I have ever had. Safi lead our group with his heart and it was evident in everything he did. He truly wanted us to have all that we wanted, and he did what he could to make it happen. He was there for us, and I felt very safe. He ran the tour very smoothly. What a lovely human being! I loved the variety of the places we stayed and the variety of the activities we did. The food was fabulous…… everything was.

My husband, Leonard, and I loved every moment of the Morocco trip!!! Rasheed was a fantastic tour leader. He took excellent care of all of us (his “family”, as he called us during the tour). He was so knowledgeable about history, customs, culture, etc. , and patiently answered all questions as he explained everything to us. We loved everything we saw and did: from Rabat, Roman ruins, palaces, tombs, calls to prayer, stray cats, camels, snake charmers, belly dancers, Fez, mosaic factory, visit to a primary school, the desert, Atlas Mountains, wild apes, Berber villages, Marrakesh, Casablanca, camel ride through the Sahara Desert, to Erfoud, etc., etc., etc!!!! This trip was like no other that we have taken, and we would not hesitate to go on another Eskapas Travel tour!!! Thank you all for doing such a great job!!!

We had an awesome trip. It was very organized and our tour leader Mohammed was such an excellent guide. We’re very grateful to have Mohammed as our tour leader – one with an amazing sense of humanity. He was not just very knowledgeable about Moroccan history and culture, he was such a pleasant, kind, honest, caring, compassionate and protective tour leader who is very concerned about the needs of each and everyone of us. He really took care of us from our very first meeting all the way to our send-off at the airport in Casablanca. Needless to say, he made our trip a safe and truly enjoyable one with his own personal anecdotes and funny jokes. We bonded very well with other tour mates so much so that we plan to go back again to Morocco.
